Terms and Conditions
aka The Fine Print (but way more fun to read)
1. You’re In! Now What?
Once you submit your deposit, you’re officially booked for a Createcation retreat. Confetti! But before you start packing your favorite writing pens, read this:
- Your spot is secured ONLY after payment is received. No IOUs, no “I’ll pay you later,” no carrier pigeons with wads of cash.
- All bookings are final. Once you’re in, you’re in. Your future-bestselling book (and I) are counting on you.
2. Refunds, Transfers & “Oh Sh*t” Moments
I get it—life happens. But due to the nature of these intimate, high-touch retreats, the following policies apply:
- No Refunds. Seriously. Once you’ve booked, your payment is locked in. Why? Because I’ve already planned for your arrival, booked stunning accommodations, and set up everything to make this magical.
- Transfers? Maybe. If you have a legit emergency (and I mean legit, not just “I got busy”), you may transfer your spot to another retreat within 6 months, pending availability. No guarantees, but we’ll do our best.
- Replacements Allowed. If you can’t make it, you’re welcome to transfer your spot to another qualified writer. Just let me know at least 30 days in advance so we can handle the switch.
3. The Secret Location Clause
Yes, you’ll know the city & dates, but the exact retreat location remains a secret until four weeks prior. Trust me—this isn’t some shady operation. It’s a carefully curated experience where I handle the details so you can focus on writing your damn book. Expect 4-star+ accommodations that’ll make your creativity (and inner bougie self) swoon.
4. What’s Included?
Your Createcation experience includes:
✅ A stunning 4-star+ stay (revealed 4 weeks prior—patience, grasshopper)
✅ All meals & snacks (because hungry writers are cranky writers)
✅ 1:1 book coaching + guided writing sessions
✅ Deep-dive storytelling workshops & publishing roadmap
✅ A small, intimate group (just 6 writers per retreat!)
What’s not included:
❌ Flights & transportation (you gotta get yourself there, but I’ll provide location deets well in advance)
❌ Personal expenses, spa treatments, extra snacks (though we’ll keep you well-fed)
❌ Miracles—you still have to do the writing (but I’ll be there to guide you every step of the way)
5. Show Up or Lose Out
- All retreats must be booked at least 6 weeks in advance. No last-minute add-ons—logistics, people!
- Be present. This is an immersive experience, not a Zoom call. You’re expected to fully participate, engage, and WRITE.
- No selling. This isn’t a networking event—it’s a book retreat. Keep your MLM pitches at home.
6. Behavior & Vibes Matter
This is a safe, supportive, no-BS writing space. If you show up with toxic energy, disruptive behavior, or a bad attitude, you’ll be asked to leave without a refund (and with a permanent spot on my do not book again list).
7. Legal Stuff (aka Covering My Butt)
By booking a Createcation, you acknowledge that:
- You are responsible for your own well-being, travel arrangements, and any personal or business decisions made based on retreat content.
- I am not responsible for lost luggage, delayed flights, existential crises or writer’s block (but I’ll happily help you through the last one).
- You grant permission for photos/videos taken during the retreat to be used for marketing (don’t worry, I won’t post anything unflattering).
8. Agreement & Acceptance
By submitting your payment, you agree to all terms outlined above. You’re officially in, and I can’t wait to help you bring your book to life.
